A clickTag is a JavaScript variable that ad servers inject at runtime to control where the banner links when clicked. Instead of hardcoding a destination URL inside the creative, the trafficking platform (Google Ads, CM360, DV360, Xandr) manages destination URLs dynamically. Without clickTag, the ad server cannot track clicks or redirect users.
No. Google Ads currently accepts uploaded HTML5 ZIP files up to 600 KB and no more than 40 files. CM360 display creatives can be up to 9.5 MB with up to 100 files; creatives above 150 KB use polite loading. Keeping the initial payload near 150 KB is still a sensible performance target, but it is not the current Google Ads upload ceiling.
No. All ZIP parsing (via JSZip), GIF frame decoding, and HTML sandboxing occur 100% inside your local web browser. No files are ever sent to any remote server, ensuring full compliance with agency NDAs and client confidentiality requirements.
